Alberta Temporary Foreign Worker Helpline and Offices:
The Temporary Foreign Worker Advisory Office and Temporary Foreign Worker Helpline will help you learn about your
rights and find solutions for situations involving unfair, unsafe or unhealthy working conditions. Advisory offices
are located in Calgary and Edmonton. Both offices are located on public transportation routes for easy access. Temporary
foreign workers can contact an advisory office by calling or by visiting in person.

Workplace Health and Safety:
The 2009 version of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Code has been updated. While the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Code
2009 was effective July 1, 2009, the implementation of two requirements was delayed until July 1, 2010.

Workers' Compensation Board (WCB):
The Workers' Compensation Board – Alberta is an independent organization that manages workers' compensation insurance based on legislation.
WCB-Alberta is not a provincial government department or crown corporation. The organization is employer funded to provide cost-effective
disability and liability insurance. Workers' compensation compensates injured workers for lost income, health care and other costs related
to a work-related injury.
